At Auntie Irene’s we want to be more than just another coffee shop. With the many great coffee empires in the Puget Sound area, we know that is a tall order, but we aim to fill it. We take pride in the fact that we are often the “Second Living Room" for many of our customers, their friends and family.
We treat our customers like friends because most of the time, they are! Our Baristas excel at efficiently identifying our customers by name and greeting them with a friendly smile as soon as they walk through the door.
If you are a regular, there’s a good chance that you never have to place your coffee order twice, because we remember it and get it going for you the second we see your face.
Owner Susie Horton is from the community. She settled in Des Moines 30 years ago to raise her three children. Susie works directly in the store shoulder to shoulder with the staff. This hands-on approach has resulted in Auntie Irene's highly acclaimed customer service.
For over 25 years, the one and only Auntie Irene’s has been pleased to call beautiful Des Moines, WA home. With sweeping views of Puget Sound, the wonderful residents that call this community home, or our great neighboring shops and businesses, Des Moines is a great place to shop, live and work.
Des Moines is almost exactly equidistant from Seattle and Tacoma and we see many 509 commuters zip through our Marine View Drive drive thru on their way to work.
